American Health & Wellness (AHW), an independent insurance broker, has been serving corporate clients since 2001. We are located in Carmel, IN and continue to enjoy rapid growth. We are seeking experienced people, from within and outside the Employee Benefits industry, to join our dynamic team. We are NOT your typical insurance broker! We focus on employee benefits consulting, data analytics, risk management, and provide comprehensive wellness programs to help our clients reduce healthcare costs, while improving their employees’ health.

Success for this role is defined as the ability to access the C-Suite of businesses comprised of 100 or more employees to present a highly disruptive product proven to drive substantial impact to both an organization’s culture and bottom-line.


About you:

As a member of our Sales Team, you will focus on new clients with 100 or more employees. This role includes sales process optimization, consultative and advisory meetings, and providing precise and accurate communications to all interacting departments. Sales works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are met within the organization. You will need an in-depth knowledge of internal/field sales, strategic marketing, prospect generation and business processes. Our Sales team is supported by internal teams of underwriters, health coaches, benefit and technology specialists, and risk
management/cost containment advisors that provide support throughout the entire sales process.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of documented success securing new business, through direct contacts and channel sales, high-performance sales ability and an in-depth understanding of how to make connections with prospective clients. Compensation for this role is commission-based, with unlimited compensation opportunity.


Your impact:

  • Sales Execution – From lead-generation-to-close with prospective clients; securing new
    clients covering more than 100 employees; expediting time to value by strategically aligning with appropriate channel partners.
  • Sales Forecasting – Deliver precise and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Sales Strategy – Business planning and development to ensure quick success.
  • Voice of the Customer – provide prospect feedback to bring new ideas and achieve goals
    for our clients.


You will be successful in this job if you have:

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience maintaining ongoing relationships with complex clients
  • Ability to close a sale, including communication skills, credibility, and authority to handle
    each client from lead generation through contract execution
  • Possess analytical skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex data, but relay
    the information in easy-to-understand methods to prospects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; speaks eloquently, concisely and
    confidently
  • Experience communicating data and concepts to C-Level contacts
  • Perseverance to develop relationships to promote our unique solutions, creating
    opportunities to close new business

What would your day look like?

These are key and growth-oriented positions in our organization. Along with comprehensive employee benefit training, you will initially work alongside a senior member of the team to enhance and accelerate your learning experience. Eventually, you will be responsible for working with the senior management of your clients in developing medical and pharmacy expense management strategies.

Being a strong team player is critical for success, as you will always be collaborating with the rest of our team. Each day, you could expect the following:

  • Manage multiple clients and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Review the carrier proposals for accuracy and competitiveness. Present medical and pharmaceutical claim data and cost containment strategies to client C-Suite and Human Resources
  • Provide timely and accurate information as a trusted advisor on available patient affordability solutions that can be leveraged to reduce patient and employer spend
  • Manage monthly strategy meetings with clients regarding employee benefit plan performance and data analytics
  • Confidently lead meetings and discussions with client executive team
  • Utilize multiple technology platforms

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a strong blend of technical (nursing or pharmacy) and interpersonal skills to be able to deliver value to clients
  • Has an engaging personality, a proven track record of success with corporate account management, and a passion for what you do
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills; speaks eloquently, concisely, and confidently
  • Is detail oriented and can manage projects with a great deal of attention to detail
  •  Ability to work with various business partners effectively and professionally

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Nursing Degree
  • Active license in Indiana
  • 5+ years of relevant Pharmacy or Nursing experience
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office tools
  • Possess analytical skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex data but relay the information in easy-to-understand methods to clients and their employeesOutstanding ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships

Job Type:

Full-time, located in the Carmel, IN area. We are using a hybrid remote/office environment with normal business hours Monday-Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST
