Congratulations to our client GadellNet Consulting Services, a managed service provider offering IT solutions, for placing second on St. Louis Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers List for employers with 100 – 499 employees!

The Healthiest Employers Awards recognizes companies that commit to making wellness a priority and proactively shape the health of their employees. This year, there was a particular emphasis on mental health. The importance of mental health initiatives was especially highlighted by the Covid-19 pandemic which bestowed employers and employees with unique challenges. The assessment was made up of six key categories:

  1. Culture and leadership commitment
  2. Foundational components
  3. Strategic planning
  4. Communities and marketing
  5. Programming and interventions
  6. Reporting and analysis

According to GadellNet, they “strive to support the whole employee and for many years now, that has included extra support for the mental health needs of our employees. We promote open conversation about these benefits to help remove the stigma.

We encourage our employees to live their best lives, and that includes making healthy choices. We also put money behind this and invest in programs to help our employees become healthier. We have a wellness coach that all employees and their families have access to. She is able to help them with dietary and fitness needs. We have an onsite gym and have fitness coaches come onsite to help our employees get in shape. We invest in healthy snacks for our employees. We promote mental health and have invested in an EAP that provides counseling services for all of our employees and their families.

Before Covid-19, we were conducting our wellness programs once a month onsite. In the past 12 months we were able to shift our service offerings to a virtual platform. We also realized we wanted to create a program that appeals to all. We created a virtual group coaching program, short monthly seminar videos packed with information and even social media groups our employees can join all centered around improving our personal health. Employees can pick and choose which wellness activity they want to participate in to receive their wellness credit. We are seeing participation numbers increase month after month.”

From all of us at American Health & Wellness we are so proud of your accomplishments this year. This honor is well-deserved.
